GALLSTONES


Gallstones form in the gallbladder, a small organ located under the liver. The gallbladder aids in the digestive process by storing bile and secreting it into the small intestine when food enters. Bile is a fluid produced by the liver and is made up of several substances, including cholesterol, bilirubin, and bile salts.

The two main types of gallstones are:
  • Cholesterol stones: Usually yellow- green in color, approximately 80% of gallstones are cholesterol stones.
  • Pigment stones : These stones are smaller and darker and are made up of bilirubin.

Cholesterol stones may develop as a result of too much cholesterol in the bile. Pigment stones are more common in people with certain medical conditions, such as cirrhosis (a liver disease in which scar tissue replaces healthy liver tissue)

Naturopathy treatment

Three days eat only celery vegetable.
For 5 days 5apple juice daily (take light food diet)
  • On the sixth day no food in the evening instead in the evening
  • 6pm - magnesium sulphate 10gms + hot water, & drink it.

Apamarga or Prickly Chaff Flower is very useful in treating this condition. Apamarga (aghada) or Chirchita is easily available in India. It is a seasonal plant and can be found in gardens, open areas and neglected fields after rainy seasons.

How to use Apamarga for Bhsmak roga
  • Take ripe seed of Apamarga. (aghada). Crush gently these seeds to take out inner rice like seeds. Cooke these seeds (5 gm) in milk (500 ml). Eat this kheer to cure bhasmak rog.
  • Do this for three days, once a day in morning.
  • In the morning have earthen pot water 1-1 ½ ltr. & don’t have anything till 1 hr. Morning & evening 1 cup dudhi juice. In whole day have 1 lt. of amla – variyali juice(crush).
  • Take enema to clean the stomach. Mud pack on abdomen. 30-20 minutes hip bath twice a day. Wet waist pack in the night for few days.
  • Light blue sun charged water 50ml. 8 doses a day.
  • Drink cabbage leaves & palak leaves juice after lunch hr.
  • Eat 2 tbsp aloevera every day.
  • Stay on juices or fruits for few days then start with normal light food.
  • Have fruits salads soup or vehetables, sprouts
  • Regular pranayam including sheetali, sheetakari(avoid agnisar kriya & ujjayi pranayam)
  • Sp. Thyroid pts. & chakra no. 5
  • Shatavari + jiggery + gokhru + amla in equal quantity make powder 1-1 tbsp morning & evening
  • Use sabja
  • Ripe banana 1 + 2tsp. honey + 1 cardmom + 1tsp.cow ghee + 1tsp. amla powder
  • Avoid red chilli, fermented food, preserved food, stale, fast food, cold drinks

DROPSY


Dropsy or edema refers to the abnormal acc umulation of fluid in the body. It may be general or localized in a particular part of the body. In case of kidney disease, dropsy is first noticed beneath the eyes and face, and worse in the morning. In case of heart disease, the swelling tends to worse in the evening.

Treatment
In dropsy, such food and liquids should be given so that urine is clear and foreign matter goes out of the body. If the patient is not very weak, he should fast for one day. Every day wet mud pack on the abdomen where there is swelling. For a few days take enema with lukewarm water. The patient of dropsy should take 6 doses of 50gms. Of sun charged water from orange bottele every day. Pineapple is very beneficial in the treatment of dropsy. IT contains chlorine which stimulates the activity of the kidneys and helps to remove the foreign matter.
  • 1 ltr. Of water and 1 spoon of methi seeds soak it in water for 1 hour, boil it and make it half. Take it warm once or twice in a day

ULCERATIVE COLITIS


Ulcerative colitis is a chronic, or long lasting, disease that causes inflammation—irritation or swelling—and sores called ulcers on the inner lining of the large intestine. Colitis is inflammation of the inner lining of the colon and can be associated with diarrhea, abdominal pain, bloating, and blood in the stool. The inflammation may be due to a variety of reasons, including the following:
  • Infection,
  • Loss of blood supply to the colon,
  • Inflammatory bowel disease, and 
  • Invasion of the colon wall with lymphocytic white blood cells or collagen

Ulcerative colitis treatment
  • If there is bleeding then measure to be taken to stop that ; by radish leaves juice, niranjan fruit soaked in water, mud application, hip bath, giving light food
  • Take enema
  • Goat milk is good in this. Aloevera juice 3tsp. twice a day.
  • Be on juices like, - apple, carrot, papaya, and pomegranate.
  • Use curd, buttermilk, & even ghee of goat milk
  • When bleeding stops have boiled vegetable soup, khichadi
  • Mud pack, hip bath etc. give enema on alternate day.
  • Take sunbath every day. Have fresh coconut water.
  • 1 ripe banana + honey + 1 cardamon + 1tsp. Amla powder have 1-2 times a day.
  • Be positive & remove anger, jealousy, stress, frustration etc;

Mucus colitis – irritable bowel syndrome

Treatment
  • Fast on boiled water or dray ginger powder water & during fast take enema. If fast is not possible then fast on juice.
  • Take colon wash, hip bath & mud pack on stomach.
  • Do pranayam & meditation
  • 3tbsp. aloevera juice + pinch of turmeric + pinch of black salt & take twice a day
  • Have fresh buttermilk made up of cow milk, add ginger powder, roasted jeera powder, black salt.
  • The juice of papaya, carrot & cabbage
  • 1 ripe banana + 2tsp honey + 1 cardamom + 1tsp. amla powder have 1-2 times a day.
  • As u feel better start with light food, khichadi, kurmura, moongdal, boiled veg. soup

Diverticular Disease

Diverticular disease consists of three conditions that involve the development of small sacs or pockets in the wall of the colon, including diverticulosis, diverticular bleeding, and diverticulitis.

Diverticulosis is the formation of numerous tiny pockets, or diverticula, in the lining of the bowel. Diverticula, which can range from pea-size to much larger, are formed by increased pressure on weakened spots of the intestinal walls by gas, waste, or liquid. Diverticula can form while straining during a bowel movement, such as with constipation.


Diverticular Bleeding

Diverticular bleeding occurs with chronic injury to the small blood vessels that are next to the diverticula.

Diverticulitis
Diverticulitis occurs when there is inflammation and infection in one or more diverticula. This usually happens when outpouchings become blocked with waste, allowing bacteria to build up, causing infection.

Treatment
  • Take enema

DIABETES MELLTYUS


Diabetes mellitus ( or diabetes) is a chronic, lifelong condition that affects your body’s ability to use the energy found in food. There are three major.

TYPE OF DIABETES: TYPE 1 DIABETES, TYPE 2 DIABETES, AND GESTATIONAL DIABETES.

All types of diabetes mellitus have something in common. Normally, your body breaks down the sugars and carbohydrates you eat into a special sugar called glucose. Glucose fuels the cells in your body. But the cells need insulin, a hormone, in your bloodstream in order to take in the glucose and use it for energy. With diabetes mellitus, either your body doesn’t make enough insulin; it can’t use  the insulin it does produce, or combination of both.
Since the cells can’t take in the glucose’ it builds up in your blood. High levels of blood glucose can damage the tiny blood vessels in your kidneys, heart, eyes, or nervous system. That’s why diabetes especially if left untreated—can eventually cause heart disease, stroke, kindly disease’ stroke kidney disease, blindness, and nerve damage to nerves in the feet.


DIABETES TREATMENT

  • Paneerful 10nos. soak in 1 cup of water. In the morning smash them filter and drink the water. 10 in the morning and 10 in the evening.
  • 2” alovera + turmeric + gulvel satva powder = remove the thorns, cut aloevera in vertical section make a sandwich, chew it whole, morning empty stomach & before dinner.
  • Clean 4 pkra/bhindim, give vertical cuts, soak overnight in a glass of water. Next morning crush the bhindi & drink the water.
  • Tendli 5 eat raw in the morning & before going to bed. Drink 1 glass of lukewarm water. ( bhindi & tendli has natural insulin)
  • Drink warm water throughout the day at least 15 glass.
  • Dalchini powder- 1 small spoon with warm water take before both the meals, it will help or reduce the sugar level in the blood.
  • Avoid banana, chikoo, custard apple
  • Tamarind seeds powder 1 sp. Once in a day with hot water, don,t take anything for ½ hr. before & after.
  • Bitter guard ( karela) eat raw/ juice. It is antioxidant, removes constipation. It increase immunity ( bête cells of the body)
  • Horse gram/ kulthi, is good in any form like sprouts, flour/ vegetables. 


NATUROPATHIC TREATMENT

  • Drink warm water in the morning.
  • Diabetes patient should be gives enema for 20 days continuously with warm/ cold water till it is necessary. DIARRHEA


Frequent movement of liquid bowel that may be a result from eating contaminated food or drinking contaminated water or due to intestinal disorder

TREATMENT OF DIARRHEA
·         Drink plenty of water with salt and sugar added called oral re-hydration solution (ORS) HOW TO MAKE ORS—ADD 1 teaspoon of sugar to one liter of water
·         Milk and fatty food should be avoided
·         Poppy seeds (khaskhas)+ jiggery, make pea size pills & take 2-2-2 daily for loose motion.
·         Have liquids like lemon juice.
·         Have dry ginger water 2-3 times a day
·         Dry ginger powder, khaskhas, jiggery, & cow ghee make pills & take it every 2-3 hrs.
·         Have fresh buttermilk & put roasted jeera powder with water.
·         Hipbath or application of cold water on stomach

In case of stomach pain with diarrheas give ginger water fomentation with napkin on stomach

TREATMENT FOR DIARRHEA IF CAUSED DUE TO ‘LOO’
Make patient rest in shadow immediately, let fresh air come
Cold application on head & stomach
Put salt & sugar in water & give 2tsp. of the solution regularly
Give juices, orange, apple, pomegranate, & coconut water
Keeps on liquid diet. Sometimes onion juice is also helpful.

INTESTINAL PARASITE
Worms that invade the digestive tract usually through food and water that causes stomach pain, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting.

CAUSES OF INTESTINAL PARASITE
By eating raw or partially cooked meat and fish that are infested with parasitic worms when enter in the digestive tract grow and produce eggs.

·         Wax gourd (kohla) juice 1 cup drink in the morning empty stomach for 4-5 days.

·         Pomegranates peel kadha. Take powder of dry papaya seeds.
·         Eat jiggery empty stomach in morning & after 15-20 minutes the ajwain faki with water. So that all worms will come out with faces.
·         Have roasted sagargota powder
·         Take juices of raw papaya 1tbsp & honey in ¼ glass of warm water.
·         Give greated coconut in the morning & after 3 hrs 1tsp. castor oil.

FLATULENCE or “KABAG”


Bloated stomach caused by buildup of gas in the abdomen when you eat hurriedly or swallow large chunks of food. When one eats refined flour products, facts, fermented food, etc; causes gas because it takes time to digest and rots in the intestine. Lack of fiber and poor intake of water is one of the causes.

Precautions
·        Gas is not disease itself but it’s a symptom which shows weakness of digestive system. But still its intensity is so high that is trouble us more than any disease. It’s better to follow certain things to prevent it.
·        Avoid food that creates gases in stomach 
·        Clear the bowels daily.
·        Have a balanced diet. Drink sufficient water. Include fiber in your diet like unpolished rice, salad, fruits, sprout, etc;
·        Chew the food properly & eat in good state of mind
·        Never it to a full stomach
·        Avoid drinking water after meals & in between meals, drink after 1 ½ hr.
·        Be active & avoid sedentary lifestyle. Avoid stress
·        Do Yogasana, pranayam & walking regularly.
·        Have a healthy & routine lifestyle. Have adequate sleep, & mentally relaxed

Treatment
·        Take enema / colon wash
·        Relax your mind. Before meals have 1 tsp. ginger juice + 1 tsp honey + pinch black salt
·        Avoid eating fried food, stale & fermented food, maida, potato, pulses cold drinks fast food.
·        Include mint leaves, ginger garlic, asafetida (hing), cloves, cinnamon (dalchini) as well as sprouted green moong, green chana, in your diet.
·        Take hot-cold napkin application on stomach & massage with oil.
·        Do Vayu mudra after lunch/ dinner.
·        Castor oil & rui leaves warm it & tie it on the stomach.

INDIGESTION


Refers to the discomfort felt in the upper stomach due to eating too much or too quickly especially eating fatty or spicy food.

Prevention
·        Chew your food as thoroughly as possible & eat with happy and relaxed mind.
·        Never eat to a full stomach. Always leave the table with a feeling that you could eat more.
·        Eat only when you are hungry. Over eating and eating frequently burdens the digestive juices & digestive system, which effects their capacity and they are not able to work properly.
·        After eating take a walk for 2-5 minutes or sit in Vajrasana for 5-10 minutes with Vayu-Mudra.
·        Avoid fatty and spicy food.

Treatment
·        If possible fast for 2-3 days on dry ginger powder boiled water. It helps to digest the undigested food & helps in cleansing the bowel. It also helps to digest row food.
·        Take 1 tbsp. ginger juice + 1tbsp lemon juice + 2tsp.honey + pinch of black salt= have this before meals.
·        Have light meal/food
·        Have orange juice thrice a day. Or citrus fruits. Take sun bath for half hour morning/ evening. Do walking as much as possible.
·        Do all 4 pranayam.
·        Take enema

DISEASES OF THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM


Many problems can affect the GI tract, including: abdominal pain, blood in the stool, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, heartburn, incontinence, nausea and vomiting and difficulty swallowing.
Many diseases and condition of the digestive system – including irritable bowel syndrome, lactose intolerance, diverticulitis, GERD, Crohn’s disease, celiac disease, peptic ulcer and hiatal hernia – can be chronic and are difficult to diagnose and treat. Many of the diseases of the digestive system are tied to the foods we eat, and many sufferers must restrict their diets.

DIGESTIVE DISORDERS
Digestive disorders include the treatment of disease of the liver and digestive tract, including the stomach, duodenum, gallbladder, biliary tract, pancreas, small intestine and colon.

LACTOSE INTOLERANCE?
If you have lactose intolerance, you can’t digest lactose because your small intestine doesn’t make enough lactase, the enzyme that digests lactose. The lactose that isn’t digested makes gas in your colon.
Lactose intolerance is easy to manage. You may do better having a little milk or dairy products with meals, because it’s easier to digest lactose eaten with other foods.
Some dairy products may be easier for you to digest, such as cheese, yogurt, and cottage cheese. Drink lemon juice/ orange before drinking the milk, it will help in digesting the milk.

Soya based milk alternative is good for lactose intolerant people. Soy protein is a complete protein containing all the essential amino acids that your body requires.
